20th Century Boys

It is one of my favorite comic, 20th Century Boys. It is a science fiction cartoon. The story is about a group of little boys who play together and plot the stories about end of the world and heroes from their imagination. But when they grow up, all stories that they wrote become true one by one.


After finished this comic, the part the I like the most is.... (I think) the main idea of this comic should be gotten from our Bible.


The bad side of this story is "Friend", who pretended to Save the World at the beginning. Every one believe and trust him. He steps up and rules Japan and the world. He is similar to Antichrist. At the end, Friend reveals himself to public. He are the one who create all bad events, according to the stories that his friends plotted during the childhood. BTW, he also re-build the Expo-Doom (the doom is sign of the big Expo that every children in their childhood dream to go there. Doom was removed after end of the Expo).

The keys of this book is about "why Friend has to do all these bad things?" "how does it relate to his childhood boy gang, especially Kenji who is another main character is this comic?". You know, at the last book of this comic series, all the answers are shown. During their childhood, Kenji did the wrong thing to Friend.He doesn't realize and just doesn't care about it but it hurts Friend so much. Later on, these drive Friend to be bad guy. The story end with, Kenji, at the end, realize what he done wrong and really sorry about it. He went into the virtual simulation to ask himself (during the childhood) to repent, say sorry and ask Friend to forgive him. And that is the end of story.

Yes, the main idea is to acknowledge that you are sinner and repent.
